Allen & Heath announce the Qu-3 & Qu-3D

Most compact Qu-series consoles to date

Allen & Heath have just revealed two new additions to their Qu digital mixer line-up, the Qu-3 and Qu-3D. The new arrivals are the most compact members of the family to date, and are said to be perfectly suited to a wide range of tasks including corporate AV, broadcast, installed audio, live sound and home recording.

Based on the same platform as the existing models in the Qu range, both of the models feature the company's XCVI technology and offer a total of 36 inputs (32 mono/linkable, 2 stereo), 12 mixes, four matrices and six effects engines with dedicated stereo returns. a 128 128 SLink port enables plug-and-play connection to Allen & Heath's Everything I/O ecosystem, with additional connectivity including a 32 32 USB-C audio interface, multitrack recording to an SD card and stereo recording and playback via USB-A. The Qu-3D variant then features an integrated 16 16 Dante interface that can be upgraded to to 32x32 via an optional add-on.

Both models feature the same mic preamps and 96kHz converters found across the rest of the Qu range, and come packed with assistive tools such as Feedback and Gain Assist, as well as offering a 32-channel Automatic Microphone Mixer function that's designed to aid users working on speech-focused events. They've been designed for situations where space is at a premium, and come housed in a compact enclosure with an 8+1 fader configuration.
