FAC introduce FAC Gravity

Latest AUv3 plug-in announced

Fred Anton Corvest's latest AUv3 plug-in has arrived, kitting iPad, iPhone, macOS and Apple Vision Pro users out with a powerful new frequency-shifting tool. FAC Gravity combines two distinct processing modes with an array of built-in modulation tools, and is capable of creating glissandos, chorusing, phasing, evolving echoes, stereo rotation and much more.

The first of the two processing modes is Stereo, where the plug-in shifts the left and right channels independently and allows users to control how closely the shifts align using a Ratio parameter. Mono mode then uses quadrature processing to create a wide stereo image from a mono source. The frequency shifting can be modulated, and as well as offering a basic Hz-based control, the plug-in also allows for tempo-sync'ed rhythmic patterns and includes a MIDI Note mode that makes it possible to trigger and manipulate the effect from a keyboard.

FAC Gravity includes an onboard LFO and envelope follower which can be routed to just about any parameter via its modulation matrix, allowing users to craft everything from subtle pitch drifts to more extreme creative effects. A Spiral function then provides a customisable feedback loop equipped with delay, blur, filtering tools that can be used to shape how the effects move and evolve over time.
