Four times the power of their predecessors
Akai Pro have just introduced upgraded versions of two of their popular standalone MPC systems, kitting them out with four times the processing power of their predecessors. The MPC One G2 and MPC Key 37 G2 both come loaded with a new eight-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and are powered by the company's latest MPC operating system.
Both of the new arrivals run on MPC3.9 OS, a standalone production platform that introduces a full Linear Arranger, expanded arrangement workflows, integrated synthesis courtesy of a built-in oscillator engine and deeper DAW interoperability. Users are provided with a DAW-style layout that makes it possible to sequence, arrange and mix a complete track directly on the hardware, with a seven-inch multi-touch display offering fast navigation and intuitive control. USB-C connectivity allows each of the G2 units to operate as 24x24 audio interfaces, as well as providing 32 channels of MIDI I/O - it's also possible to sample directly from phones and other mobile devices via USB-C.
The MPC One G2 and MPC Key 37 G2 each ship with Native Instruments Analog Dreams MPC Edition, while the MPC One G2 includes 11 total instrument plug-ins and nine curated expansion packs, and the MPC Key 37 G2 comes loaded with 13 instrument plug-ins - including OPX-4, Jura and Sub Factory - and six expansion packs. Both units include over 20 GB of production-ready content out of the box, while an optional Pro Pack upgrade unlocks more advanced features such as the Pro Stems algorithm, Super Warp Time-Stretch, Clip Matrix and a collection of other effects plug-ins.
Whether you live on the pads or write everything on keys, the MPC One G2 and MPC Key 37 G2 give producers and beat makers the most powerful standalone MPC we have ever built at these prices. From bedroom beat makers to established producer communities around the world, creators now have four times the power, MPC3 OS and a powerful collection of instruments and samples ready to get you started. This is Generation 2 of MPC standalone production. - Andy Mac, Director of Artist Relations at Akai Professional
