NAB 2026: Evertz to highlight evertz.io XChange for live event management and market switching

Evertz (Booth N817) is set to present new services within its evertz.io platform at NAB 2026, including XChange, a cloud-native service for live event management, signal routing and market switching across distributed workflows.

The company outlined how evertz.io is positioned as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform supporting IP and cloud-based broadcast workflows. Built on a microservices-based architecture and operating on a flexible OpEx model, the platform is designed to enable deployment and scaling without reliance on on-premise infrastructure.

XChange forms part of this platform, extending evertz.io into live contribution and distribution. It provides centralised orchestration and control of live streams across geographically dispersed edge devices. The service is intended for use across live sports, news and remote production environments, supporting real-time routing, switching and replication of feeds, including regionalised content delivery.

Key capabilitiesXChange includes a range of features for broadcast workflows:

Centralised live workflow control: discovery, configuration and management of globally distributed encoding and decoding devices from a single interface

Dynamic market switching: routing and regionalisation of live feeds with support for SCTE 224 ENSI

Flexible signal routing and processing: real-time feed replication, grooming and processing across cloud and hybrid environments

Standards-based interoperability: support for SRT, RIST and Zixi

Monitoring: telemetry, live thumbnails and topology-based workflow views

Scalable SaaS deployment: a usage-based model with resources scaling in line with demand

Integration with cloud and edge infrastructureXChange integrates with Evertz encoding and decoding platforms, including XPS, Reflektor and X-CALIBER, to support contribution and distribution over IP networks.

XChange extends the capabilities of evertz.io into live streaming workflows, said Dan Turow, SVP of Media Distribution and CIO at Evertz. By enabling centralized control of globally distributed live feeds, XChange helps media organizations reduce setup times, improve operational efficiency and adapt quickly to evolving production and distribution requirements.
