NAB 2026: Cobalt Digital introduces blueCORE standalone processors for SDI and ST 2110 workflows

Cobalt Digital (Booth N1340) will introduce the blueCORE family of standalone signal processors at NAB Show 2026, designed for audio and video processing across SDI and ST 2110/IPMX workflows.

The company outlined how the platform is intended to support environments transitioning between SDI and IP, providing multi-function processing within a self-contained unit. The blueCORE range is designed for use in live production and IP-based workflows, including space-constrained environments such as OB vans and fly packs.

The blueCORE family combines multiple processing functions within a 1RU form factor, with power consumption of less than 80W for the ST 2110 version. The system supports SDI inputs and outputs, including copper and fibre connections, with four channels of 3G processing or one channel up to 12G. It also provides access to ST 2110/IPMX inputs and outputs.

The platform is designed for standalone operation, allowing deployment without the need for a connected computer. Configuration can be managed via a front-panel touchscreen, supported by four illuminated control knobs for local adjustment of functions such as colour correction. The system can also be controlled remotely through a web-based interface.

Processing capabilities include up, down and cross conversion; colour correction; HDR processing; audio routing and mixing; per-channel frame synchronisation; frame rate conversion; audio embedding and de-embedding; SCTE 104 insertion; and logo insertion.

The blueCORE platform is being presented alongside other Cobalt Digital products at NAB Show 2026 in the North Hall (Booth N1340), including the PACIFIC compression line, 9925-FSx frame sync and 9981-LUTx colour processor openGear cards, ARIA audio monitor series, UltraBlue MV-SW multiviewers, SAPPHIRE ST 2110 mini converters and INDIGO IP gateways.
