NAB 2026: Appear appoints Mike Burk as vice president of business development

Appear has appointed Mike Burk as vice president of business development for North America. Burk brings over two decades of experience in the broadcast and live production industry to the role.

Burk previously served as the lead for LTN Global's production and managed services business. Prior to this, he founded and served as the president of DTAGS, a company acquired by LTN in 2020. His professional background includes the development of production and transmission solutions for high-profile events.

He brings a long history of unparalleled customer engagement, coupled with expertise in managed services, production and transmission technology. Mike is the perfect fit for Appear's customer-first culture and will play a key role in our growth plans.

In his new position, Burk will lead strategic growth initiatives, assist in the execution of go-to-market strategies, and manage customer engagement. His remit includes working alongside the sales team to address customer production and transmission requirements, identifying new market segments, and supporting the company's customer success programmes. He will also focus on customer engagement initiatives, including customer councils designed to gather feedback for product development.
