New flagship sequencing plug-in revealed

Rapid Flow have just launched a new 16-track sequencer plug-in which they say has been designed for total rhythmic expression, polymetric sequencing, and vintage hardware groove emulation . Building on the capabilities of the recently released miniGRID, omniGRID offers up to 64 steps per track and features six deep per-step parameter graphs, Euclidean rhythm generation, built-in scale quantisation and eight shuffle modes to promise to offer a more human' feel than standard modern sequencers.

Each of the plug-in's 16 lanes can contain 4-64 steps, and as all lanes can be configured independently, omniGRID is capable of creating complex polyrhythmic patterns; Velocity, Note Length, Timing Shift, Probability, Step Repeats and Repeat Intervals can all be set on a per-step basis. Each lane offers microtiming shifts - there's also a global master that allows changes to be made quickly across all lanes - and the plug-in includes eight distinct shuffle modes that emulate the timing behaviour of some classic drum machines and sequencers.

Advanced Arpeggiator & Scale Quantisation: Use as an advanced arpeggiator with scale quantisation across 12 root keys and seven musical scales (Major, Minor, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Maj/Min Pentatonic) for effortless musical phrasing.

Full Automation Support: Timing shift, shuffle amount and core sequencer parameters can be readily automated inside a DAW arrangement for dynamic, evolving transitions.
