Company launch with stereo-imaging tool

Panoramic is the debut release from Panorama Labs, a new company formed by mastering engineer Nicholas Di Lorenzo. Created after years of creating custom processing chains, experimenting with different routing options and creating a number of experimental processors, the new arrival has been designed to provide users with detailed control over a tracks stereo image, but without relying on any delay or phase-based processes that harm mono compatibility.

The plug-in has been built around a-part parallel processor that presents users with Width, Density, Character and Air controls, each of which are kitted out with a set of fine-tuning tools. The Width section features two modes: one that allows it to function as a parallel stereo-width control, and another that uses it as the overall level control for the plug-in's processed stereo image. Density then applies parallel compression to the Sides signal to help make low-level details more prominent.

Character, meanwhile, introduces some odd harmonic distortion to the Sides signal, and is joined by a Steal function that augments the Sides signal with additional harmonics generated from the content in the Mid signal. Finally, Air applies a high-frequency boost, and includes a DS mode that's designed to combat harsh-sounding cymbals and sibilant vocals. An Elliptical filter then allows users to sum low-frequency content to mono, and can be placed either pre- or post-processing.

Compatibility Panoramic is supported on Macs running macOS 11 and higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Pricing & Availability Panoramic is available now, and is being offered at an introductory price of $69 until 18 September 2026, when it will increase to its full cost of $99.
