10K Audio update Gyro

New features added alongside NKS support

10K Audio's real-time loop-based instrument has just been treated to a free update that brings a wealth of new features to the table. Gyro 1.2 introduces a Global Key Lock function that adapts newly loaded presets and chord sets around a user-selected key, new chord-generation tools that help to create fresh harmonic ideas, support for Native Instruments' NKS protocol and much more.

What's New? Here's a quick look at the new features that have been introduced in the update:

Global Keylock: Global Key Lock lets producers select a root note and major or minor scale directly from Gyro's header. Newly loaded presets and chord sets are automatically transposed and adapted around that selection, making it easier to explore new material within the musical context of an existing track.

Chordset Generator: Available in Gyro Pro, the new Chordset Generator makes it possible for users to select up to four chords and have Gyro generate a full chord set around them, combining their choices with additional harmonic suggestions. Generator presets provide immediate starting points, while custom input offers more control over the resulting progressions.

Undo & Redo: The ability to jump backward and forward makes Gyro's randomisation system more inviting to explore. Users can try and combine ideas more freely without worrying about losing a previous result.

All Sounds Play Mode: Play All Sounds is an additional keyboard input mode that bypasses Gyro's chord and pattern play assistance. A single MIDI note triggers all four sound engines together, turning Gyro into a large, layered instrument that can be played directly from a keyboard.

NKS Support: Gyro 1.2 adds official support for Native Instruments' NKS ecosystem. When Gyro is loaded through Komplete Kontrol or Maschine software, producers can browse Gyro presets, control key parameters and use Light Guide integration with compatible Native Instruments and other NKS-compatible hardware.

New Preset Content: New presets have been added to both Gyro Play and Gyro Pro.

Compatibility Gyro 1.2 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 13.4 and above. VST3 and AU plug-in versions are available.
