Universal Audio launch Anthem Analog Synthesizer

New monosynth joins UAD virtual instrument line-up

In addition to offering a catalogue of well-established processing plug-ins, Universal Audio have recently taken a step into the world of virtual instruments. The latest arrival to the range expands the collection further, delivering a powerful soft synth that's been inspired by the bold and gritty character of classic analogue synths.

Available as a native plug-in for Mac and Windows systems, Anthem Analog Synthesizer draws inspiration from the most coveted monosynths of bygone eras , and comes equipped with an intuitive GUI that promises to help creators focus on their music rather than menus. Its VCO, VCF, Mixer, Envelope, LFO and Voice sections are complemented by a built-in sequencer, and there's a range of onboard effects including a chorus, flanger, spring reverb and tape echo, all of which have been modelled on real analogue gear.

Key Features Here's what UA have to say about Anthem Analog Synthesizer, their latest addition to the companys virtual instrument line-up:

Sculpt enormous bass and powerful leads that fill out your song with fat analogue texture.

Dial in the bold analogue-modeled filter to achieve everything from subtle saturation to all-out sonic destruction.

Get unapologetically lo-fi with vintage modulation effects, spring reverb and dub-style tape echo.

Create evolving sequences with a step sequencer that adds polyrhythms, accents and generative textures.

Enjoy inspiring synth tones crafted by UA.

No Apollo or UAD hardware required.

With Anthem, we wanted to make a synth that didn't just emulate vintage hardware - we wanted it to inspire creativity. It feels analogue in all the right ways: fast, expressive and alive. - Lev Perrey, VP of Product, Universal Audio

Compatibility Anthem Analog Synthesizer is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and above. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
