Netflix announced today the start of production of EL CUERPO EN LLAMAS, its new limited series inspired by true events and starring rsula Corber and Quim Guti rrez, among others.
This limited series, produced by Arcadia Motion Pictures for Netflix, is inspired by the crime that took place in 2017, when a man appeared burned in the Foix reservoir, in the province of Barcelona. The investigation into the homicide brought to light a toxic relationships' network, deceits, sexual scandals and violence among several police officers in Barcelona.
rsula Corber (Money Heist) and Quim Guti rrez (Honeymoon with my Mother) play Rosa and Albert, the two police officers protagonists of this story, and the cast is completed by Jos Manuel Poga (Money Heist), Isak F rriz (Below Zero) and Eva Llorach (Qui n te cantar ) among others.
EL CUERPO EN LLAMAS is directed by Jorge Torregrossa (Fari a, Intimacy), who also serves as executive producer, and Laura Ma (Un novio para mi mujer) and written by Laura Sarmiento (Intimacy, Matadero).
The limited series will begin filming on September 19th and will take place over several weeks in Barcelona and other municipalities in the province.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
May 2017. The charred remains of police officer Pedro (Jos Manuel Poga) are found inside a burnt-out car at Barcelonas Foix reservoir. The discovery quickly arouses the publics interest, especially when the investigation begins to reveal a network of toxic relationships, deceit, violence and sexual scandals involving Pedro and two fellow police officers: his partner Rosa ( rsula Corber ) and her ex-boyfriend Albert (Quim Guti rrez).
