Offers 360-degree sound placement in any DAW

Audiocube have just announced the launch of a new plug-in that embeds a complete 3D acoustic environment inside any major DAW. Named Audiocube Space, the new arrival offers full 360-degree sound placement, acoustic simulation and multichannel mixing in formats up to 9.1.6 directly inside VST3, AU and AAX hosts

With spatial audio becoming an increasingly common element of modern music production, Audiocube say their aim with Space is to provide a single interface that combines sound placement, room simulation, movement automation and creative sound design. Users are provided with detailed control over a sources position in a 3D space, and it's possible to link multiple instances of the plug-in so that sources across different tracks can be adjusted from a single window.

Acoustic simulation is taken care of by Audiocube's Ripple Engine, and as well as placing static sources, it's possible to apply predefined and custom motion paths to add some movement to tracks. There's also an onboard reverb engine that offers a choice of ten room shapes and 12 simulated construction materials, along with a Cloud effect that uses granular processing to create experimental, ambient soundscapes. A Master section then offers parallel processing and stereo-width controls, as well as automatic gain compensation and a built-in limiter.
