Berlin, July 18, 2024 - Discovering being part of a superrich dynasty from fascinating Istanbul - sounds like a dream? Well When Mavi (Beritan Balci) from Hamburg learns of her glamorous relatives in Turkey, the culture clash rushes through her life like a whirlwind. All of a sudden, she has a huge, crazy family, a domineering grandmother (Meral Perin), and an entirely new view on where she comes from and on her life so far. Will she find a balance between her everyday life in Hamburg and the dazzling world of Istanbul? Will she be able to integrate into her new family, and is this something she wants in the first place? And will Mavi's boyfriend Can (Sinan G lec) and their plans for their future in Hamburg still fit in the bill?

Filming of the new Netflix film She Said Yes (working title) has begun in Istanbul. The members of the cast are Beritan Balci, Sinan G lec, Serkan ayo lu, Katja Riemann, Caroline Daur, Cansu Tosun and Mehmet Ate i amongst others. CB Medya together with Dark Bay and director Ngo The Chau with a script by Ipek Z bert are responsible for the German-language production. The producers are Saner Ayar, Cengiz a atay, Nurhan ekerci-Porst and Faruk Ozerten. In addition to Istanbul, shooting will also take place in Hamburg and in the Turkish region of Cappadocia.

Synopsis

A glossy and escapist RomCom - When a failed marriage proposal inadvertently reveals to German-raised Mavi that she is part of a super wealthy Turkish dynasty in dazzling Istanbul, she's thrown into a culture clash whirlwind. Coming to terms with a giant new family helmed by the domineering grandmother she never knew existed, Mavi must find the balance between Occident and Orient, between her new family and her fianc Can, while intrigues and glamorous temptations put their relationship to a test.
