Highly-Anticipated Vietnamese Action Thriller Furies' Debuts on March 23, Globally and Exclusively on Netflix

Vietnamese star Veronica Ngo is set to bring her electrifying brand of action back to screens with the upcoming prequel to her 2019 hit, Furie. Set to premiere globally and exclusively on Netflix on March 23, Furies serves up a thrilling tale of justice and revenge set against the vibrant backdrop of 1990s Saigon.

The film tells the story of Bi, Thanh, and Hong, three fierce and furious vigilantes who team up to take down a sinister crime syndicate led by vile crime lord Hai. As the trio of assassins infiltrate the underground crime syndicate to deliver furious justice, viewers will be left to wonder if theyve been manipulated into becoming instruments of vengeance.

On top of spectacular stunt choreography and cinematography that will leave viewers at the edge of their seats, Furies will also introduce a new generation of strong Vietnamese female action heroes to global audiences.

Dong Anh Quynh, who plays Bi, a character in constant battle with herself on whats right and wrong, shared that she underwent rigorous physical and mental training for the role. "Never in my life have I had to undergo this much physical training for a role," she reveals. "Mentally, I challenged myself to empathize with the anti-hero and mentally burdened character that Bi is, to best bring her to life on the screen."

Singer Toc Tien, who takes on the role of Thanh in her second acting foray, found herself relating to her characters selfless personality. "Thanh is the eldest, always taking care of her sisters though they are not blood siblings. Thanh protects them in silence, not with words but actions, she explains. I find it easy to empathize with Thanh because many of the characters personalities are quite similar to mine."

Bringing a contrast to the film's gritty atmosphere, Rima Thanh Vy plays sweet and optimistic Hong, which became a deeply personal experience. "Hong brought me through a difficult time in my life, she shares. Hong gave me profuse love and strength to move forward and lead a fuller life."

The lively and sweet Hong (Rima Thanh Vy) brings striking contrast to the films gritty atmosphere.

Beyond its stunning visuals, Furies is a tale of justice and perseverance. As the films producer, director, and lead actor, Ngo hopes to inspire audiences. "Even if fate knocks us down at the bottom of society, we can still rise up and change our destiny," she adds.

For Quynh, the film is an opportunity to showcase the quality of Vietnamese cinema to an international audience. I'm proud and excited that the film is being released worldwide on Netflix, this will allow even more people to know and love the quality and entertainment values of Vietnamese storytelling.

Furies will be released exclusively on Netflix on March 23.
