Swedish translation available below. DOWNLOAD PORTRAIT IMAGES HERE DOWNLOAD EPISODE IMAGES HERE Is it possible for two people to connect solely by their voices and become engaged before ever meeting in person? That is the question posed by Love is Blind: Sweden, the love experiment that started in the US. We got to follow five couples that got engaged, went on a honeymoon, and lived together before deciding if they wanted to get married. Nathalie and Wictor, Karolina and Jakob, and Karin and Niklas all said yes to each other at the altar, while Ola and Milly and Oskar and Alicia decided to go their separate ways before the wedding.
Q&A after the Reunion episode The Reunion, where we reconnect with the participants for the first time since the altar has been released, giving us an update on what has happened since the cameras stopped rolling. Weve spoken to the participants again, who shared their experiences of being part of the experiment, along with special memories, unseen events, and their thoughts on the future.
MILLY
What have you learned about yourself through the experiment, and what are you looking for in your next relationship? I have learned that I am enough as I am. That I am worthy of love. And that I have a lot of love to give to the right person who appreciates it. You should never change yourself for someone else and neither should you try to change your partner, but instead, see the beauty in each individual. See what makes that person who they are.
I am looking for someone who is secure in themselves, has stability, and is willing to let me into their life. A man with whom I can have fun with and who is prepared to build a duality where we grow as individuals and support each other through lifes ups and downs.
You received a lot of love and support from viewers when the series aired. How does that feel? It is overwhelming. I am so thankful and touched by all the love I have received. I entered the experiment with the hope of finding love, and I did find love, just in a different form than expected and in an amount I could never have dreamed of.
It is confirmed that there will be a Season 3 of Love is Blind: Sweden. What advice would you give to future participants? Be curious and open to the people you meet. Try to leave your old love patterns behind and open yourself to the possibility that a relationship can be different from what you are used to. Have fun and enjoy every second!
NATHALIE AND WICTOR
What are you most looking forward to in your life as a married couple? W: We are excited to begin building our life together and to travel and explore the world. Right now, we are enjoying spending every day together and continuing to develop our relationship. In April, we are finally going on our honeymoon to the Caribbean, which is something we are really looking forward to.
N: Later this year, we plan to buy an apartment in Gothenburg together. We definitely want to have children in the future, but first, we want to spend a little more time with just the two of us.
Is there a memory from your journey that we didnt get to see that you would like to share? W: During the vacation in Greece, we had a barbecue date where we cooked together. I grilled meat, and Nathalie made tzatziki for the first time. It was super hot and we were almost dying from the heat. But it was a super fun date, and we really had a great time that day. Afterwards, we bought olive oil and ceramics in the small local shop.
N: During the apartment weeks, we got to try making ceramics together. It was fun to show Wictor my creative side. He actually made a bowl on his first try - he truly was a natural talent. It was a very cozy date.
Early in your relationship, you bonded over similarities you share. Almost a year into the marriage, have you discovered any aspects where you are different? We believe there is strength in being similar as it allows us to understand each other very well. Sharing the same values and outlook on life is something we saw - and appreciated - in each other already in the pods. We both value our family, which is a trait we both value in each other. Of course, we also have our differences. Nathalie is a morning person and more creative, while Wictor loves to sleep in and is more interested in sports. There are some differences, but we are quite similar in most things.
NIKLAS AND KARIN
What are you most looking forward to in your life as a married couple, and how does it feel to become parents together? We are looking forward to everything that is to come. To share life together with all that it entails - travels, experiences, gray and bright days, and the everyday routine. Of course, our main focus right now is to start our family, as our little daughter is due to arrive any second now. It feels so wonderfully beautiful and everything we long for, while we also feel great respect for what is to come. Even though it has happened very quickly, there has never been the slightest doubt that it was meant to be for us two becoming parents together. The future truly feels bright and exciting!
What have you learned about yourselves during the experiment? K: I have learned to trust my gut feeling in a completely new way. Normally, I turn to my closest friends and family to discuss and bounce around situations that I feel uncertain about. But in this case, without a mobile phone or connection to my usual everyday life and reality, I was forced to trust myself and what my gut feeling told me-which has been incredibly insightful. N: That love was not over for me and that I could fall head over heels in love. Also, that I am enough and am good just as I am.
What do you appreciate most about each other? N: I love
