Official emulation of Blackbird Studios reverb chamber

In their latest collaboration with Blackbird Studios, KIT Plugins have captured the sound of the Studio D reverb chamber, adding yet another official Blackbird recreation to their ever-growing plug-in range.

Long regarded as one of Nashvilles most coveted acoustic spaces, the reverb chamber inside Blackbird Studios Studio D has helped to shape the sound of countless recordings. BB Chamber D faithfully captures the sound of the space using KIT Plugins' proprietary ADPT:AI technology, an advanced modelling engine that's been developed specifically for reverb and room emulation duties.

Although they've preserved the sound and character, they've still taken the opportunity to remove some of the limitations imposed by the physical space, such as the ability to tailor the reverb time and response by altering the room's dimensions. Along with its core functionality, BB Chamber D comes complete with onboard saturation, EQ, compression and filtering.

Key Features

Preset Manager: Load Factory, Collaborator or User presets.

Adjustable Size: Unlike the fixed physical chamber, the plug-in allows users to adjust the virtual length of the room to create tighter spaces or extended, lush decays without compromising tone.

Width Control: Expand the stereo image of the reverb for anything from focused depth to wide, immersive spread.

Classic Microphone Modelling: Choose between a C24 (balanced and natural), R88 (warm and smooth), or 414 (bright and detailed) - all modelled after mics commonly used in the chamber.

Authentic Chamber Dampening: Virtually add cushions inside the chamber to alter decay time and tonal character, just like engineers do in Studio D.

Creative Source Placement: Route audio through Hi-Fi, PA or Direct source modes and position signals inside the chamber or feed them from Studio Ds live room - recreating real-world tracking and re-amping techniques.

PreDelay: Adjust the onset timing of the reverb for added separation and clarity.

Saturation: Add console saturation from KIT Plugins' A5 emulation of the Studio D console - ideal for adding warmth, grit or harmonic richness to the reverb signal.

Filters: Engage pre and/or post high-pass and low-pass filters for precise tonal shaping.

EQ: a four-band EQ inspired by the console in Blackbird's Studio D, with fluid gain control for detailed shaping of the reverberated signal.

Compressor: Control the dynamics of the reverb signal with a smooth, musical compressor.

Ducker: Activate ducking mode to allow the dry signal to sit forward while the reverb subtly moves out of the way - great for vocals and lead instruments.
