*First look at Delta's staging here*

Eagle-eyed Eurovision fans and Delta devotees may have noticed the global powerhouse drop hints about her staging after her first rehearsal at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria, earlier this week. Now, the full vision is coming into focus. Delta's performance of Eclipse for Semi-Final 2 promises to be a showstopping fusion of light, shadow, and spectacle.

An eclipse is a moment when light shifts and flows, revealing brilliance in unexpected places. On stage, this celestial dance comes alive in every shimmer, reflection, and beam, moving with purpose and transforming the arena into Delta's ethereal wonderland.

We can now share 30 seconds of Delta's Eurovision staging here and new images from Vienna here.

Don't miss Delta perform LIVE from the Wiener Stadthalle in Semi-Final 2 on Friday 15 May at 5:00am AEST or in the prime-time Access All Areas' event coverage on Saturday 16 May at 7:30pm AEST on SBS and SBS On Demand.

A celestial spectacle

Delta's vision has been realised by staging directors and producers Dan Shipton and Ross Nicholson of Black Skull Creative. As the first chorus of Eclipse swells, the stage opens into a breathtaking moment of suspended divinity that's ethereal, feminine, and luminous against the dark. Then, in an electrifying shift, midnight tones dissolve into radiant gold, flooding the arena with light that pours from the stage into the crowd.

Each musical accent ignites from the shadows with precision and force, balancing softness with power, beauty with strength, until the entire moment crescendos into something vast, magnetic, and all-consuming - like an eclipse itself.

Eclipse was written by Delta Goodrem, Ferras Alqaisi, Jonas Myrin and Michael Fatkin (who also produced the single) and is available here and you can watch the videohere

It's a total eclipse of the art

At the centre of it all is Delta, wearing a couture masterpiece that embodies both fragility and force, brought to life by Australian designers Velani By Nicky and House of Emmanuele, and styled by Tori Knowles. This is a living performance artefact-a moment where couture becomes mythology.

Leading the creation, Velani by Nicky continues to redefine feminine power through couture storytelling. The result of over 500 hours of craftsmanship, the meticulously crafted gown is hand-embellished with over 7,000 Swarovski crystals, in homage to this year's host city, Vienna. Delta is also adorned with Swarovski jewellery for her performance.

Delta's Eurovision experience and love poured into Eclipse sits at the epicentre of this vision. House of Emmanuele introduces a powerful, symbolic focal point-an intricately handcrafted Swarovski crystal eclipse. Radiating from Delta's heart space, the piece is engineered as both ornament and shield. Inspired by celestial alignment and chakra energy, it forms a crystallised solar burst, where light fractures outward in precision-cut brilliance. The structure embodies the emotional core of Eclipse transformation, intensity, and rebirth.

This compelling duality of softness and strength, light and shadow, vulnerability and power culminate in the Eclipse world at the end of Delta's performance that's truly elevated.

A full circle moment

The connection to Vienna goes beyond aesthetics. A classically trained pianist, Delta incorporates the harp and piano into her performance. The moment also carries full-circle significance, as Vienna hosted Australia's Eurovision debut in 2015, and this year's staging celebrates the contest's 70th edition with a nod to history, artistry, and ambition.

The performance unfolds as a visual journey, shifting from a moonlit world into a blazing sunscape, culminating in a soaring finale that brings Eclipse to life on an extraordinary scale.

Every moment has been designed to leave audiences spellbound, inviting viewers worldwide to witness a performance that promises to eclipse the ordinary and enter the extraordinary.

Delta Goodrem said: Performing on the Eurovision stage is something I feel so deeply in my heart, carrying Australia with me in every note and every moment. I wanted the staging to move like the Universe itself, embracing light and shade, softness, and strength. It was also incredibly important to me to wear the vision of Australian designers, while weaving in the beauty and elegance of our host city, Vienna. I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such a talented creative team. When collaboration feels this connected, it really does feel like true alignment. I can't wait for you all to see it!

SBS Head of Entertainment Emily Griggs said: The staging for Eclipse plays with the tension between night and day, moon and sun, light and shadow. As those worlds collide, the performance captures the emotion of an eclipse itself, a rare moment where something extraordinary happens. It's been incredible to watch Delta work and see her attention to detail bring her vision to life on stage.

Staging Directors for Australia, Dan Shipton and Ross Nicholson of Black Skull Creative said: Delta has woven Eclipse with such rich visual symbolism that creating its world on the Eurovision stage has been creatively incredibly exciting for us. Our performance begins in an intimate, emotional space and gradually unfolds into a breathtaking spectacle with every moment building the scale and intensity of the s
