New 16- and 32-pad MIDI controllers now available

Fender have just announced that the two new performance-focused controllers that were unveiled at NAMM 2026 are now available. The Motion 16 and Motion 32 both feature drum pads designed by Fatar, RGB encoders and touch strips and an assortment of built-in chord progressions and scales, and as you might expect, boast tight integration with Fender Studio Pro.

Designed with a focus on expressive control, the new arrivals promise to deliver unrivalled playability and responsiveness. The Fatar-designed pads are context-aware, and will automatically adapt to suit the task at hand, offering detailed control when programming drums, melodies and chords, while the units' RGB encoders provide hands-on control over playback, editing and mixing tasks. Built-in scales and chord progressions make it easy to improvise and experiment with new parts, with yet more expressive parameter control provided by a pair of touch strips.

Integration with Fender's recently rebranded Fender Studio Pro DAW is significant, and users can add and control everything from virtual instruments and plug-ins to new audio tracks, all without reaching for their mouse and keyboard. Although the units have obviously been designed primarily with Fender's own DAW in mind, they are also supported in all other major DAWs. Thanks to MIDI I/O, the Motion 16 and 32 can be used alongside hardware synths and drum machines as well as computer-based setups.
