FilmLight Colour Awards reveals nominees for 2023

Jury selects 22 nominees across five categories; winners to be announced at EnergaCAMERIMAGE in November

FilmLight has revealed the nominees for the 2023 FilmLight Colour Awards. In their third year, the awards attracted over 400 entries from 45 countries across the globe and the independent jury of cinematographers, colourists and creatives - led this year by Lawrence Sher, ASC - has announced a list of 22 nominees across five categories.

I'm so thrilled by the submissions for this year's FilmLight Colour Awards, says 2023 jury president Lawrence Sher, ASC. The diversity of talent and work is, as expected, very high. Our jury meetings so far, with talented cinematographers, colourists and filmmakers, have illuminated how fundamental the colourists' work is in the film-making process and it's been a complex job to determine the nominees. Everyone that has made it through these early rounds has, in our eyes, already won. I am looking forward to Camerimage where we will celebrate and announce the winners.
