Applications open for 2026 AISF and Screen Australia Writer/Director Virtual Sessions 21 April 2026

Applications are open for Australian writers and directors to participate in the 2026 Australian International Screen Forum (AISF) and Screen Australia Virtual Sessions.

Held from July-September 2026, up to eight delegates will be selected to participate in an online (virtual) program involving a mix of roundtables, panel discussions, matched mentoring sessions, pitch training, strategic consultations and advice from a selection of influential New York-based screen professionals.

This opportunity is for screen creatives with a high level of recent success internationally. It is designed for those who are keen to leverage the skills, knowledge, access and relationships necessary to attract international support, investment and partnerships for Australian content and careers.

Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to $15,000. An initial $2,500 will be available for successful applicants to actively participate in a bespoke two-month, online program of roundtables and masterclasses with key international screen decision makers and tailored mentorship on a part-time basis. A second drawdown of $12,500 will be available following a proposal submission for project development alongside the applicant's attached key creative, and/or formulating marketing materials and other strategies to pitch projects for potential co-development, talent development and/or marketplace partners.

Applicants must be available to participate in all sessions between July and September 2026.
