Screen Australia opens applications for Global Fellowships Program 27 August 2026

Applications are now open for the Screen Australia Global Fellowships program, a premium international professional development and cultural exchange opportunity supporting Australian screen practitioners to expand their global networks, skills and career opportunities.

Participants will be supported to undertake placements within some of the world's leading screen organisations, gaining direct exposure to global industry practices through premium, in-depth mentorship and hands-on experience, while expanding their global creative and business relationships.

Designed for producers, directors, writers and development executives, the program is available to screen practitioners with an established professional track record and international profile who are looking to expand their global presence, unlock new career opportunities and strengthen the Australian screen sector through knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Successful applicants may receive a grant of up to $80,000 to support a six-month cumulative international placement, or a series of international placements and professional development activities over a twelve-month period which can be up to the maximum value of $100,000.

The program aims to support up to ten fellows per year, with one funding round annually.
