NBCUniversal's 10 wins for its coverage of the XXXIII Olympic Games from Paris were headlined by the honor for Outstanding Live Special-Championship Event. Other big awards on the night included Fox's Rickwood Field: A Tribute to the Negro Leagues winning Outstanding Live Special - Non-Championship Event; ABC/ESPN 's SEC on ABC winning for Outstanding Live Series, and NBC/Peacock's NFL Playoffs winning for Outstanding Playoff Coverage.
In terms of Technical Awards, NBCUniversal's Paris 2024 coverage took home both the Outstanding Technical Team Event and Outstanding Technical Team Studio statues, as well as the award for Outstanding Audio/Sound - Live Event. In addition, the George Wensel Technical Achievement Award went to the PGA TOUR's Live Drone AR, which is a TOUR owned patent-pending technology that was developed through a collaborative effort between six partners-the PGA TOUR, Bolt6, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, Virtual Eye, and Kaze Aerial Production. The innovation came together in early 2024 with a shared vision to successfully track ball-in-motion data from a live moving drone on the PGA TOUR.
ESPN took home the awards for both the Weekly and Daily Outstanding Studio Show categories, winning for ESPN College Game Day and NFL Live, respectively. Meanwhile, the award for Outstanding Studio Show - Limited Run went to Fox MLB: The Postseason, while Univision/TUDN's F tbol Central won for Outstanding Studio Show in Spanish.
In addition, Fox Sports architect David Hill was given the Lifetime Achievement Honor, which was presented to him by FOX NFL Sunday hosts Michael Strahan, Terry Bradshaw, Curt Menefee, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long and Jay Glazer.
