Interra Systems to Showcase QC and Monitoring Solutions at SET Expo 2026

Interra Systems will demonstrate its ORION, BATON, BATON Captions, and VEGA solutions at SET Expo 2026 (August 17-20, Distrito Anhembi, S o Paulo) at partner LineUP Brasil's booth (#3). The showcase focuses on quality control, monitoring, and video analysis for live sports, FAST, IP, OTT, and hybrid services.

The LATAM region is entering an important new phase in streaming, driven by significant growth in FAST services, more live sports, and more viewing across devices, which brings operational complexity. ORION

The ORION monitoring platform provides end-to-end visibility across linear, IP, and OTT delivery chains. The latest release extends monitoring to 4K, IP, and production workflows and includes an integrated multiviewer. Interra Systems will also preview a forthcoming No-Reference Video Quality Index (VQI) for ORION, which will assess visual degradation on live feeds without a source reference.

Technical highlights include expanded monitoring support for NDI, Zixi, and JPEG-XS (ST 2110-22); real-time all-frame analysis for 4K@60fps channels; AI/ML frame corruption detection; integration with VEGA Media Analyzer for reference-based video quality scoring (VMAF/PSNR/SSIM); SCTE-35 (2023) compliance; DASH manifest template validation; end-to-end ad tracking via ORION Central Manager; PagerDuty integration for alert routing; and enhanced remote probe connectivity.

BATON

Interra Systems will showcase BATON 9.5 M1, the latest version of its automated QC platform. New features include boosted ProRes decoding, AV1 multicore analysis, and spot-check validation for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos SADM in MXF; enhanced text detection, automated subtitle color validation, and new support for identifying HDR color bars, QR codes, logos, motion jerk, and freeze frames; an overhauled audio dropout algorithm and new 28- and 30-channel layout options; a built-in user assistance chatbot, web-based Service Manager, automated dashboard health alerts, and optimized database queries; production-ready IPv6 support and Workload Identity federation for GCS and OCI cloud storage; and high-speed 8X playback for H.264/HEVC via the BATON Media Player, alongside secure S3 proxy support for BATON Content Corrector.

BATON Captions

The latest BATON Captions update introduces Maestro, a built-in AI assistant providing contextual product answers, along with automated AI generation of content summaries and scene tags. Other additions include a caption comparison feature for identifying localized version differences, an embedded Workflow Service UI, automated calculation of MNC and MNR metrics, TTI Extension block support to prevent text truncation, enhanced STL export features for legacy hardware, dynamic licensing for on-demand captioning nodes, native support for RHEL 9 and Rocky 9, and security architecture upgrades.

VEGA Media Analyzer

VEGA Media Analyzer provides tools for compliance verification, stream diagnostics, and interoperability validation across streaming, broadcast, and hybrid delivery. Recent updates include support for AV1 and VVC, faster multicore analysis, a built-in chatbot, broader cloud compatibility, and perceptual quality scoring with VMAF, PSNR, and SSIM.
