Fast-growing DIGIcas and arkona present perfect formula for quick, safe and flexible IP migration
arkona technologies GmbH has strengthened its roots in the APAC region, specifically Japan, by partnering with DIGIcas. Headquartered in Tokyo, DIGIcas is an international provider of best-of-breed hardware and software solutions for the Broadcast and Media market. The partnership will enable DIGIcas to bring arkona's IP core infrastructure solutions to the top-tier broadcasters the company serves in Japan.
DIGIcas, a young and forward-thinking company, was founded by professionals with a long history of broadcasting who are well-versed in the challenges and benefits of transitioning to IP. The growing demand for IP has created a perfect environment for DIGIcas to expand its portfolio and offer arkona's BLADE//runner IP core infrastructure solution that provides audio/video routing, compression, processing, and visualization; and for arkona to widen its customer-base in the key Japanese market and offer local, high-quality service and support.
Reza Zirak, president and co-founder of DIGIcas, explained the benefits of the partnership, In our short history, DIGIcas has successfully delivered numerous projects based around IP signals in addition to traditional baseband and the gateways in between. arkona and their BLADE//runner cutting-edge technology offers the tools that can solve many of the challenges customers expect to encounter as they migrate to IP. This partnership will enable us to fulfill our customers' requirements and get them to a reliable and agile future-proof infrastructure quickly so they can remain competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Designed for the modern broadcast facility, where flexibility and scalability are essential, BLADE//runner is arkona's software suite of live broadcast production apps which provide a wide variety of tools for professional productions. Designed with a highly flexible and modular core, BLADE//runner allows for the creation and deletion of resources and functions on-the-fly and is controllable by an open API as well as through NMOS IS-04/-05.
According to Wiggo Evensen, Worldwide Partner Manager for arkona, arkona's technology has previously been implemented in many projects in Japan via an OEM supplier so it was critical that we found a value-added reseller that knows this market inside and out. We also searched for a partner that was future oriented and had earned an excellent reputation in the Japanese market for providing best-of-breed solutions and exceptional support and service.
