ABOUT THE SVG AI INNOVATION LAB

The SVG AI Innovation Lab is a new initiative designed to advance the development and adoption of artificial intelligence in live sports production. Now celebrating its 20th year, SVG has long served as a forum for open collaboration across the sports media industry. The AI Innovation Lab builds on that legacy by bringing together leaders from leagues, broadcasters, and technology partners to develop a shared roadmap for AI implementation.

To guide the Lab's direction, Michael Davies, Chairman of SVG, founder of the AI Innovation Lab, and Executive Vice President at Fox Sports has appointed a Steering Committee comprised of senior leaders from across major sports organizations and media companies, including NBA, Fox Sports, PGA Tour and MLB with more to be announced.

The SVG AI Innovation Lab is supported by founding technology partners Amazon Web Services, AKTA, CoreWeave, and Twelve Labs. The Lab will continue to add innovative technology companies that are leading the development, deployment, and scale-out of AI in the sports industry.

SVG has also partnered with Entertainment Technologists, Inc. (ETI), a leading media research and consulting firm, to support the Lab's initiatives. Under the direction of ETI founder Mark Turner-lead author of the influential MovieLabs 2030 Vision white paper-the SVG Lab will begin with a comprehensive industry-wide assessment to identify key opportunities, challenges, and priorities for AI in live sports production.
