DIRECTV and DAZN Add Cavaliers, Pacers, Grizzlies, Timberwolves and Spurs Local Games in Multi-Year Deal

DIRECTV and DAZN have signed a multi-year distribution agreement for local telecasts of Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs games. The games are available to DIRECTV streaming, satellite and U-verse customers in each team's NBA-designated home territory.

The telecasts are available to DIRECTV customers who subscribe to the Choice or higher packages and to U-verse customers who subscribe to U200 or higher. Each DAZN team service provides live pregame, postgame and in-game coverage. In the coming weeks, customers who receive these teams through DIRECTV will also be able to log in to the DAZN platform at no additional cost using their DIRECTV credentials.

The agreement also gives each of the five teams distribution rights to DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS venues in its region, including sports bars, restaurants and fitness clubs.

DIRECTV says it has recently obtained regional or local rights to provide 76 of the 81 U.S.-based NHL, NBA or MLB franchises to their local fans, including multi-year agreements for 28 of the 29 U.S.-based basketball teams.

Cleveland Cavaliers: 660 (streaming, satellite); 1734/734 (U-verse)

Indiana Pacers: 671 (streaming, satellite); 1749/749 (U-verse)

Memphis Grizzlies: 649 (streaming and satellite); 1728/728 (U-verse)

Minnesota Timberwolves: 668 (streaming and satellite)

San Antonio Spurs: 680 (streaming and satellite); 1756/756 (U-verse)
