Berklee NYC and the Mayors Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) in New York City have launched a new season of Inside Power Station @BerkleeNYC, a 12-episode series filmed at the legendary Power Station recording studio on the Berklee NYC campus. The third season features new host Arun Pandian, assistant program director of Berklee NYC's songwriting and production program, and interviews and performances from a wide range of industry professionals.
The series premiere aired on April 11 with hip-hop icon Ralph McDaniels as the featured guest. Best known for directing iconic music videos from the Golden Age of rap, such as Wu-Tang Clan's C.R.E.A.M. and Nas's It Ain't Hard to Tell, McDaniels shared insights and personal reflections from his storied career in the New York hip-hop scene. The episode also debuted the music video of Ms. Deep Blue Eyes by Zach Santos, a singer-songwriter, producer, and recent Berklee NYC graduate from Seattle.
This partnership with MOME to produce Inside Power Station @BerkleeNYC is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to celebrate the vibrant and creative community that makes New York City a global hub for artistry and innovation, said Betsie Becker, Berklee NYCs interim executive director. Through in-depth interviews filmed inside the iconic Power Station studios-NYC's premier recording facilities-we spotlight the creators shaping the city's dynamic music scene, as well as Arun Pandian, who brings a fresh energy and insight to the series.

Pandian began his career in 1998, performing on Lauryn Hill's multiple Grammy Award-winning album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and has been working in New York's music industry as an engineer and producer since 2003. He will interview top talent across a diverse mix of roles this season, including Grammy-winning bassist John Benitez; prolific producer and songwriter Dave Tozer; renowned sound engineer and Berklee NYC technical director Gloria Kaba; and singer, songwriter, and producer Alexis Idarose Kesselman, who composed several original tracks for the horror movie Smile 2.
We are pleased to present another new season of Inside Power Station @BerkleeNYC on NYC Life, the flagship channel of the citys broadcast network NYC Media, said the commissioner of the Mayors Office of Media and Entertainment, Pat Swinney Kaufman. This series, produced in partnership with Berklee NYC, is an ideal way to celebrate the music community in NYC by providing a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most talented musical artists and producers working today.
