
Berklee Alumni Nominated for 2025 Emmy Awards Twenty-four Berklee alumni received nominations across categories in sound mixing, sound editing, and composition.

Antonio S nchez '97, who delivered the keynote address at Berklees graduate commencement on June 26, was nominated for an Emmy Award this year for his work as a composer on Apple TV 's The Studio.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the 2025 Emmy Award nominations on Tuesday, July 15, including 24 Berklee alumni. This year's nominees were recognized for their work in mixing, editing, and composition on some of the industry's most prominent programs and events.
Five-time Grammy Award-winning drummer and composer Antonio S nchez '97, who recently delivered the keynote address at Berklee's graduate commencement in June, was nominated in the category of Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) for Apple TV 's The Studio, which tied the all-time record for most Emmy nominations with 23.
Seven-time Emmy winner and 27-time nominee Pablo Mungu a PD '98, who serves as a program director at Berklee Valencia, received a nomination in Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special for his work on the Oscars as a prerecorded music mixer. Production mixer Thomas Holmes '02 and ProTools mixer Juan Pablo Velasco BM '99 were nominated for two Emmys in the same category for the 67th annual Grammy Awards and SNL50: The Homecoming Concert. Production mixer Ezra Matychak BM '01 also received a nomination in this category for SNL50: The Anniversary Special.
Kara Talve BM '18, who received three Emmy nominations last year, was nominated in the category of Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special (Original Dramatic Score) alongside An e Rozman MM '14 for The Americas on NBC. Laurentia Editha BM '17 was also nominated in the same category for composing on BBC America's Planet Earth: Asia.
Music editors and 2024 Emmy Award winners Jason Lingle BM '99 and Jeff Lingle '95 were nominated alongside ADR (automated dialogue replacement) editor John Bowen BM '89 in the category of Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation for the acclaimed FX on Hulu series The Bear. Sound designer Richard Gould BM '13 was nominated in the same category for Agatha All Along on Disney , and supervising sound editor George Haddad PD '93 and Lorena Perez Batista '11 also received nominations for their work on The Studio.
Supervising sound editor Bryan Parker '89 and music editor Felipe Pacheco BM '15 were nominated in the category of Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One-Hour) for their contributions to acclaimed television programs The Pitt and Severance, respectively, each nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.
Five-time Emmy nominee and rerecording mixer Earl Martin BM '89 was recognized in the category of Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation for the Apple TV series Shrinking; 2007 Emmy winner and fellow rerecording mixer Peter Nusbaum BM '92 was nominated in the same category for his work on Hulu's Mid-Century Modern.
The 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air on Sunday, September 14, at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
