Iconic Instruments release Model 350 Tube Preamp

Emulates the input section of an Ampex 350

One of the latest arrivals to the Iconic Instruments range delivers a new tube preamp plug-in inspired by the circuitry employed in the Ampex 350 tape machine.

Model 350 Tube Preamp promises to accurately recreate the sound of the praised hardware, and as if often the case, introduces some new, modern features that were not present in the original design. Its built-in filters make it possible to exclude high- and low-frequency content from processing, while a Mix control offers instant parallel processing. Iconic Instruments have also taken the opportunity to increase the amount of distortion that can be introduced at the input stage, allowing the plug-in to be driven harder and deliver more obviously processed results than the original units.

Key Features

Record Level: Sets the amount of the unique distortion characteristics applied by the plug-in.

Effect Filters: Built-in high- and low-pass filters to narrow the bandwidth affected by the processor.

Mix-: Offers convenient built-in parallel processing.

Playback Level: Provides control over the overall volume of the track, post-effects processing.

Compatibility Model 350 Tube Preamp is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and later. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
