L3Harris Recognized as a Top Solar User in Aerospace and Defense, Manufacturing Industries

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Solar Energy Industries Association this week recognized L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX) as a top 25 corporate solar user in its 2022 Solar Means Business report.

Focused on America's largest commercial companies, the report ranked L3Harris No. 23 in its top 25 corporate users. The company's 100 megawatts of total installed solar capacity earned it a top ranking among aerospace and defense companies and second among manufacturing companies.

To date this year, L3Harris has met or exceeded its key environmental targets including generating 195,000 megawatts of solar energy capacity through a virtual power purchase agreement, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 63,000 metric tons, reducing water use by 15 million gallons, and increasing waste diversion by 783 tons.

In October, L3Harris announced one of its key environmental, social and governance ratings for 2022, placing it among the top five percent of aerospace and defense companies worldwide and marking three consecutive years of improvement and progress toward achieving its 2026 sustainability goals.

SEIA, the national trade association for the solar and storage industry, tracks and analyzes commercial solar adoption in the U.S. in its 9th annual Solar Means Business report.
