NAB 2026: Skyline Communications launches DataMiner packages on Grass Valley AMPP App Store

Skyline Communications announced the availability of its DataMiner xOps platform on the Grass Valley AMPP App Store, introducing two packages designed to support monitoring, control and orchestration of software-defined production workflows.

The launch includes the DataMiner Control Pack and the DataMiner Orchestration Pack, both aimed at enabling management of AMPP environments through a unified platform that combines operational oversight with financial tracking.

The DataMiner Control Pack is offered as a DataMiner-as-a-Service subscription, allowing operators to interface directly with AMPP environments. Through a low-code application, users can monitor and manually control workloads, snapshots and productions in real time.

The DataMiner Orchestration Pack extends these capabilities to support lifecycle management of events, including planning, scheduling and automated deployment of required AMPP workloads. The platform is designed to deploy, start and stop workloads, including AMPP nodes and associated cloud compute resources, while monitoring system status in real time.

The platform also incorporates FinOps functionality, providing cost tracking and insights into resource usage on a per-production basis. Based on scheduling and workload patterns, the system can adjust deployment models, including subscription and usage-based approaches, with the aim of aligning operational activity with cost management.
