Along with their renowned processing plug-ins, Universal Audio have been steadily introducing emulations of classic guitar amps, and the latest release captures one of the most sought-after models around: the Dumble Overdrive Special. Already available as a UAFX pedal, it's now made its way into the UAD line-up, bringing the same iconic tones to DAW users.

UAD Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp promises to deliver an authentic recreation of the sounds made famous by the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton and more. Employing Universal Audio's meticulous modelling and component-level circuit analysis, the new arrival is said to deliver all of the essential ODS sounds in a single plug-in. Plenty of control is on offer, with users able to mix and match power sections and tone - and even add the legendary Hot Rubber Monkey (HRM) mod, which offers enhanced control over the tone of the overdrive channel.

Compatibility Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 11 and above. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
