Sunday's episode of Idols SA saw Thapelo Molomo deliver a show-stopping performance that set the social media streets ablaze.

Thapelo was given Master KG's banger Di Boya Limpopo which features Makhadzi and Zanda Zakuza to cover and to say justice was done to the song, would be an understatement.

MAKHADZI'S ENERGY REVIVED ON STAGE The Idols SA top 7 was officially unveiled on Sunday 3 October, with CeeJay getting the least number of votes. The top 7, which now consists of Kabelo, Mpilwenhle, Ty Loner, Thapelo, Zee, Nozi and Noxolo, executed the Showstopper theme to perfection with minor complaints from the judges.

Viewers were over the moon with Thapelo's performance.

Guest performer Robot Boii kicked off the evening with a ton of energy, setting the bar high for the Idols SA contestants to follow in his footsteps.

The first contestant to take to the stage was Kabelo who performed Usher's Yeah X3 while Nozi ended off the evening with Rihanna's Don't Stop The Music.
Thapelo, who was the third contestant, made sure to channel Makhadzi's energy onstage. He pulled off some of her legendary, energy-packed moves that guaranteed him a standing ovation from the crowd and judges.

SMART AND STRATEGIC': FANS PRAISE THAPELO Since the start of new season of the Idols SA competition, Thapelo has been serenading his fans with his sultry voice. Sunday evening's performance showed his versatility and the possibility of being crowned the Idols SA season 18 winner.

Another tweep added that Thabelo may be exactly what the singing competition has been looking for. Last week's episode saw JR give the contestant a standing ovation.
