Former Isibaya actress Samukele Mkhize, who played the role of Mabuyi on the award-winning Mzansi Magic telenovela, has joined the cast of Skeem Saam.

The soapie announced on their social media accounts that the seasoned actress will debut tonight (24 November) as Khwezi.

IS KHWEZI LEHASA'S SECRET GIRLFRIEND? The TVSA Thursday, 25 November suggests that the first person she will interact with is Lehasa Maphosa, played by Cedric Fourie.

While the Friday, 26 November teaser reads:
Lehasa is intrigued by a woman with a bone to pick with the Mavimbelas.
Mokgadi's mother, Mary Matloga (Motshabi Tyelele) and Mokgadi (Pebetsi Matlaila) were held against their will by Lehasa last night right before Mary's interview.
It seems Mkhize's character and Lehasa will get closer next month as the December teasers suggest that the pair will take a trip to Lesotho.

We know that there's trouble in paradise between Lehasa and Nothile (Mbali Mavimbela) at the moment as she doesn't want children.
Nothile informed Lehasa that she can't bear him any children last month (October) because she removed her womb.
Lehasa will bring up the kid's conversation again this month because he's always wanted to be a father.

MBALI MAVIMBELA'S OTHER PROJECT Actress Mbali Mavimbela, who plays the role of Nothile, on the educational soapie is busy filming Showmax's popular telenovela, Hlomu the Wife.
It is unclear if Khwezi will replace Mavimbela and whether she'll will be Lehasa's new permanent love interest at this stage.
Viewers are looking forward to Mkhize's character as she will shake up Nothile and Lehasa's relationship.
