High-End Presentation Design Firm Abracadabra Relies on FOR-A Video Switchers

Longtime FOR-A video switcher user Bob Bolling, president of RBL Engineering, introduced Abracadabra to FOR-A when the two companies began collaborating to bring broadcast television methods to the A/V presentation world a decade ago.
Cypress, CA, March 1, 2016 California-based Abracadabra Presentation Graphics, Inc. has produced its large-scale events, corporate videos and presentations with FOR-A switchers for a decade. Having had much success with two of FOR-A's HVS-110 portable video switchers, the company didn't hesitate to select another FOR-A unit when they recently were in need of a larger switcher. Abracadabra chose FOR-A's new HVS-2000 unit. The new switcher's first big test was when Abracadabra worked with entertainment technology company, FNTech, for production of a cloud computing conference held last October in Tokyo.
Cloud computing users and programmers from around the world attended the wildly popular cloud computing summit. Abracadabra used the HVS-2000 video switcher to switch and feed the event's live webcast from the keynote presentations, feed video from the cameras to the main presentation switcher for use on the main presentation screens, and provide video content to the delay screens and all overflow video areas during the keynote presentations.
"Both the HVS-2000 and HVS-110 switchers have been great out-of-the-box solutions for the work that we do," said Colin Tanji, staff producer and director, Abracadabra Presentation Graphics, Inc. "To be as cost effective as possible, we usually source the majority of our equipment from local vendors. However, when it comes to switchers, we insist on bringing our FOR-A gear with us. That's how confident we are that FOR-A provides the best switchers on the market to get the job done right."
Bob Bolling, president of video production company RBL Engineering, first introduced Abracadabra to FOR-A 10 years ago when the two companies began collaborating to bring broadcast television methods to the A/V presentation world. A longtime FOR-A user, Bolling was confident that Abracadabra would appreciate the feature-packed HVS-110 portable switcher. The HVS-110 allowed Abracadabra to incorporate lower thirds, picture-in-picture and broadcast-style transitions and alpha wipes into their corporate presentations. Abracadabra continues to use its HVS-110 switchers today, primarily for high-end breakout presentations and award events.
Tanji explains: "FOR-A switchers are the most well-thought out, best engineered, flexible video switchers on the market today. Additionally, FOR-A takes customer support seriously. When we need help, FOR-A tech support has never let us down. We choose FOR-A because their switchers and service continually help us do our job better."
