We re supporting seven drama producers to go to Content London 2015. Content London will give participating Australian screen professionals an opportunity to profile their projects and businesses, establish cross-border partnerships and attend targeted business-matching opportunities and networking events.
The producers who have received travel support include:
Paul Bennett from CJZ,
Rachael Turk from Essential Media & Entertainment,
Kylie du Fresne from Goalpost Pictures,
Tracey Robertson from Hoodlum Entertainment,
Helen Bowden from Lingo Pictures,
Mark Ruse from Ruby Entertainment, and
Adam Ciancio, a Drama Series Script Competition Finalist
The Australian group will also include representatives from other production companies and broadcasters. Richard Harris and Sally Regan will represent Screen Australia.
The International Drama Summit features panels covering the business of drama, case studies, craft sessions, interviews with the commissioners and networking opportunities. The 2015 guest list includes executives from BBC, HBO, STUDIOCANAL, Gaumont International Television, ABC Entertainment Group and many more.
This year's sold-out event includes three panels featuring Australian speakers:

Thursday 3 December 2015 - International Drama Commissioning Strategies
How are the development agendas of drama-focused channels defining global production? Five prolific commissioners reveal their current and future scripted plans and show some of their most compelling work.

Congratulations to Australian writer/producer Adam Ciancio, who has been announced as one of only four international finalists - of eight selected - from a field of more than 200 applicants to pitch his project, THIS MAN, to a jury of top international drama executives at Content London. The C21 Drama Series Script Competition is a joint initiative of eOne and Creative England to find outstanding pilots for a one-hour drama series from fresh writers who have got what it takes to create a primetime drama series. Winners will receive £10,000 in development funding, time in a writers' room on a current series and assistance in taking their drama project to series.
When it comes to drama in particular, we're seeing heightened engagement between Australia and the international screen industry, said Screen Australia's Richard Harris, Head of Business and Audience.
With the increased internationalisation of content and a strong appetite among broadcasters for high-end, stand out productions, there is tremendous potential for Australian screen professionals to work across borders. There are real opportunities for collaboration, and focused events like Content London enable our professionals to connect with prospective partners and hear what's in demand straight from the horse's mouth.
