Theater goers enjoy attending Broadway and Off-Broadway shows because the performances bring stories to life through music, dance, dialogue, lighting, set design, costumes, and make up. What they don't always get to see is what it takes behind-the-scenes to make all this happen. Serino Coyne, New York-based advertising agency dedicated to live entertainment, is going behind-the-curtain to give theater buffs an inside look at their favorite Broadway and Off-Broadway stages and actors using LiveU Solo to stream content to Facebook Live.
LiveU Solo, a plug and play' live streaming portable encoder, takes multiple signals and bonds them together for consistent bandwidth even in the most unpredictable network conditions. With Solo, Serino Coyne can now provide broadcast quality video of interviews and show coverage for this evening's Obie Awards, co-presented by the American Theatre Wing and the Village Voice. LiveU Solo will be the exclusive platform streaming the entire awards show to Facebook Live.
We were looking for a way to live stream events and interviews to Facebook Live using a professional camera and high end audio, says Patrick Mediate, Content Producer, Serino Coyne. LiveU Solo integrated nicely and gave us the ability to maintain a high-quality stream. We liked the reliability, flexibility, and different options available to retain the stream (hardwired, Wi-Fi, and cellular bonding). These qualities help us deliver a stream that people want to watch and engage with.
Serino Coyne will be producing a two and a half hour live stream of the entire Obie Awards tonight via the show's Facebook page. Live coverage will feature the entire awards show - award presentations, speeches, and performances. Serino Coyne expects to be involved in future opening night events and awards shows, producing several live streams leading up to the events.
We're seeing that content producers like Serino Coyne want to maintain the highest level of production value using equipment they know and trust, says LiveU Co-founder and COO, Avi Cohen. Solo is becoming a permanent part of their repertoire as the solution delivers quality streams, reliable connectivity, and the ability to share entertaining content with Facebook audiences directly.
For Serino Coyne's Broadway and Off-Broadway clients, including The Phantom of the Opera and Tuck Everlasting, the agency will be using LiveU Solo to produce behind-the-scenes set, stage, and dressing room tours with stage actors, Facebook Q&A's, and red carpet interviews. They plan to live stream on average three times per month, while ramping up live stream efforts exponentially during award season.
