The year 2022 has been one for the books as far as TikTok stars are concerned. TikTok content creators across the globe have brought their A-game, delivering some awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping and laugh-out-loud moments.

In 2022, more and more talented content creators on TikTok delivered on their promise by informing and educating their audiences but, moreover, entertaining their followers through a range of inspiring, shocking and amusing content.

Alphi Sipho Internet sensation Sipho Mkhwanazi, otherwise known as AlphiSipho, on social media streets is no stranger to humour. The 29-year-old TikTok star from Daveyton in the East Rand has gained popularity on TikTok over the last year and has over 400 000 followers. Many of his videos have gone viral for obvious reasons.

For a good laugh after a bad day or sheer boredom, Alphi will make you forget about your troubles for a moment. Brutal honesty, humour and the creative way to integrate and narrate lived experiences is what sets Alphi apart from his TikTok rivals. He was the red carpet host at the 28th edition of the South African Music Awards in August 2022.

Deborah Yowa Deborah Yowa is a French TikToker who rose to prominence in 2021. She is a ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) food content creator, who, without fail eats about anything and everything under the sun. With her weird food combination and unhealthy eating patterns, Deborah has managed to amass a following of over 16 million followers.

Yowa's content has been dubbed grossy by many of her followers but sis knows how to keep her audience on their toes and making jaws drop across the globe.

There are various other accounts offering similar content to Deborah's, however, the mother of two has managed to set herself apart from her rivals as she continues to dominate with her TikToks which have garnered a whopping 296 million likes.

Seemah TikTok star, Seemah, real name Sima Magolwane is a 21 year-old hailing from Khayelitsha in Cape Town. Seemah is known for her funny TikToks. She is the Queen of lip sync and is able to imitate other TikTokers like the pro she is.

With her amusing content, Seemah has managed to amass agreat legion of followers on her TikTok account. She currently sits at 1,3 million followers with over 75 million likes.

Both Seemah and boyfriend Ghost Hlubi have managed to keepTikTok consumers entertained with their unique content and making many drool over their romantic affairs.

Seemah Ricky Tanah Another talented TikTok star of 2022 is Ricky Tanah. Ricky Tanah (dancing machine) is a young man from Uganda serving singing skits on TikTok.

Together with his backing dance mate, the duo have managed to steal many hearts across the globe with their spectacular performances, innovative singing equipments and accessories.

The TikTok sensation has over 2 million followers with over 19 million likes. He has done many skits which have since gone viral, covering and wowing his followers with Celine Dion's I'm Alive hit song and R. Kelly's When A Woman Loves, amongst his many performances.

Kay Mahapa Karabo Mahapa is a University of Johannesburg BCom accounting graduate from Limpopo, with a humorous demeanour.

The talented and opinionated TikToker always has something to say. If he's not giving out free tips on how to restructure your December budget, he is busy rubbing shoulders with local celebrities.

Mahapa has been able to consistently deliver his content with humour, growing his TikTok account simultaneously. He currently sits at 5 million likes and a growing TikTok following of nearly 200 000.
