Talpa media produces under own banner in key european markets
The three entities will produce formats from the Talpa catalogue for local TV channels in their territories. Each of these companies is a joint venture of Talpa with leading local media companies. In the UK it's Shed Media, in Italy it's Toro TV and in Northern Europe it's Nordisk Film TV in Scandinavia together with Banijay Finland in Finland.
Talpa's worldwide formats include Emmy Award winner The Voice', 'The Voice Kids', I Love My Country', The Winner Is ', Dating in the Dark' and brand new reality blockbuster Utopia'.
As in the US, where Talpa Media USA has been producing under it's own banner, the company will follow suit in the aforementioned countries. In The Netherlands, Talpa International, headed up by its Managing Director Maarten Meijs, will maintain close contact with the various branches.
Says Pim Schmitz, CEO of Talpa Holding: In producing our formats, we're used to working as co-producers together with local parties all over the world. What we're now doing in the UK, Italy and the Northern European countries goes a step further. Talpa will now produce under its own brand, and for us that's an important milestone in terms of the company's international growth.

The diversity of Talpa's offering fits perfectly with the diversity we have across our seven UK production companies, which span every genre from entertainment, to game show, to scripted series.

If the tremendous performance of The Voice' is any indication, we'll have a lot more to celebrate going forward with this joint venture.
