RT is the most-listened-to radio group in Ireland

29% market share with almost 2 million people listening every week

RT holds 18 of the top 20 programmes and the entire top 10

Growth for RT Radio 1 with four shows over 400,000 for the first time ever

RT lyric fm increases share yet again to all-time high of 3.1%

RT 2FM reaches 645,000 every week

The latest listenership results show positive momentum for RT Radio 1 as its brand-new daytime schedule gets into its stride. Share for all adults has risen to 20.3%, and growth among 15-34s is strong, up from 6.6% to 7.3%. There are more people listening to RT Radio 1 now than in the last book, up 12,000 to 1,388,000 weekly listeners. For the first time, RT Radio 1 now has four flagship shows with over 400,000 listeners.

RT lyric fm continues to show exceptional growth with audiences and has once again increased its share to an all-time high of 3.1%, up from 2.6% making it the only national station to achieve such growth over the last 12 months.

RT 2FM's expressions of interest recruitment process for new presenters last year is proving to be a success, with new additions Demi Isaac and Mikey O'Reilly proving a hit with listeners filling in on 2FM Drive, with Demi broadcasting from the RT Cork studios.

RT Raidi na na Gaeltachta has 103,000 weekly listeners, further cementing the vital role it plays in promoting our language and culture.

Speaking on the latest figures, Patricia Monahan, Director of Audio, RT said: The new Radio 1 schedule is all about delivering for the audience, and this book shows that RT Radio 1 is delivering across seven days and a wide variety of genres. With four flagship shows now attracting over 400,000 listeners, it's clear that more and more people are making the move to Radio 1. Lyric fm continues to show exceptional appeal to audiences all over Ireland, growing its share a remarkable half a percentage point in the last 12 months.

RT Radio 1 reaches 1,388,000 listeners weekly.

Morning Ireland remains Ireland's most-listened-to radio programme with 467,000 listeners this book. ( 1,000 YoY)

Today with David McCullagh has 440,000 listeners from 9-11am.

Oliver Callan has 308,000 listeners each day in his new slot from 11am-1pm.

News at One has 279,000 listeners.

Liveline has a listenership of 280,000 with new presenter Kieran Cuddihy at the helm.

The Louise Duffy Show has 158,000 listeners tuning in for easy listening and great music in her new 3pm slot.

Drivetime with Katie Hannon and Colm Mong in has 218,000 listeners tuning in each evening from 4-6pm.

Over on Weekends, Brendan O'Connor on Saturday has 429,000 listeners ( 71,000 YoY), with 418,000 listeners ( 52,000 YoY) tuning in on Sunday.

Playback on Saturday has 349,000 listeners. ( 30,000 YoY)

The Business on Saturday mornings has 370,000 listeners. ( 42,000 YoY).

Saturday Sport/Doc On One from 2-6pm on RT Radio 1 has 226,000 listeners. ( 5,000 YoY)

Sunday Miscellany has 338,000 listeners. ( 79,000 YoY)

Sunday with Miriam has 341,000 listeners. ( 37,000 YoY)

This Week has 208,000 listeners on Sunday. ( 11,000 YoY)

Sunday Sport has 209,000 listeners tuning in. ( 7,000 YoY)

Inside Sport has 92,000 listeners every weekday.

Arena has 46,000 listeners every weekday evening.

The John Creedon Show has 56,000 listeners on weeknights.

Starting off the mornings, Rising Time with Shay Byrne has 59,000 listeners on weekdays. ( 8,000 YoY).

On weekends, Rising Time with Lillian has 91,000 listeners on Saturday ( 3,000 YoY) and 65,000 listeners on Sunday.

Tara Campbell, Head of RT Radio 1, said: This is a strong book for Radio 1 cementing its position as the number one radio station in the country with an increased audience share of 20.3 per cent and more than 1.3 milion listeners tuning in weekly. Some weekend programmes in particular have seen phenomenal growth with Sunday Miscellany up 79,000 and Brendan O'Connor's Saturday programme up 71,000 since this time last year. It's clear that the content served up by our talented and hard working presenters and production teams across news and current affairs, arts, sport, entertainment and music is resonating with our audiences.

2FM is the destination for Irish audiences, music lovers and entertainment fans, connecting with listeners in exciting new ways through fresh energy, dynamic voices and the very best music, all while continuing its proud tradition of shaping the future of Irish broadcasting.

2FM Breakfast has 121,000 listeners tuning in on weekday mornings.

2FM Morning with Laura Fox on 2FM has 120,000 listeners to her 9am-12pm show.

2FM Afternoon with Tracy Clifford has 105,000 listeners enjoying the best of Irish music and the home of RT 2FM Rising.

2FM Drive with Demi & Mikey entertains listeners across the country on their evening commute with 126,000 listeners. ( 2,000 BoB)

2FM Weekend Breakfast with Helen & Benny has 55,000 listeners on Saturdays and on Sunday 29,000 listeners.

2FM Weekend Morning with Katja Mia has 128,000 listeners on Saturdays and 108,000 listeners on Sundays.

2FM Weekend Afternoon has 132,000 listeners on Saturdays and on Sundays they have 86,000 listeners.

2FM Weekend Drive with Emma & Graham has 100,000 listeners on Saturdays ( 9,000 YoY) and 82,000 listeners on Sundays. ( 23,000 YoY)

Dan Healy, Head of RT 2FM, said: We have experienced a small dip in our adult market share, which is not surprising when something new is introduced to a schedule. In February last year we introduced a new breakfast and evening drive show. Our evening drive show with Doireann Garrihy has had a solid start, and since October, Demi Isaac and Mikey O'Reilly have done very well holding the fort in that slot while Doireann is on maternity leave.
