SVG's annual TranSPORT conference returns to New York City for a full day of sessions focused on the current state of live-sports-transmission technology. Set to be held in NYC on Oct. 21, this annual gathering will address the industry's latest developments in contribution and distribution technology, including terrestrial and satellite backhaul, IP- and cloud-based transport solutions, the evolution of 5G and bonded cellular technologies, the latest compression standards and transport protocols, 4K and HDR delivery, connectivity needs for REMI/remote productions, and more.

Technology leaders from both major sports broadcasters and broadcast vendors will take the stage to offer up the latest developments in this integral sector of the sports-media ecosystem. This year's agenda is once again driven by SVG's TranSPORT Advisory Committee, chaired by Adam Whitlock, Senior Director, Remote Traffic Operations, ESPN.
