Seen on Screen: FS To Televise Friendly with Women s World Cup Champs; ESPN Sets MLB Opening Day Plans

Fox Sports 1 will televise an international soccer friendly featuring the reigning FIFA Women's World Cup Champion United States Women's National Team against Trinidad and Tobago, live on Sunday, Dec. 6 (8:00 PM ET) from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Using sports as a backdrop throughout the weekend, Fox Sports will pay tribute to the nation's military while reminding Americans about the world-altering events that occurred at Pearl Harbor almost 75 years ago

ESPN will televise seven 2016 MLB Opening Day Games during the first two days of the regular season on Sunday Night Baseball. An exclusive national presentation will also take place with the New York Mets at the Kansas City Royals in a World Series rematch. ESPN's Opening Day coverage on Sunday, Apr. 3, will include two new afternoon widows, while ESPN2 will showcase a meeting between the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays from Tropicana Field at 4:00 p.m. The following Monday will be home to an Opening Day quadruple header, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Every MLB Opening Day game on ESPN or ESPN2, and every MLB on ESPN telecast throughout the season, will also be digitally streamed via WatchESPN

On Sunday, Apr. 3, the Women's NCAA Final Four will be split between ESPN and ESPN2, in a shift from previous years. While the early game will air at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN, the late window will move to ESPN2 on order to accommodate the Sunday Night Baseball opener. It will be the will be the first Women's Final Four telecast on air on ESPN2

truTV and Top Rank will exclusively present MetroPCS Friday Night Knockout on truTV, a live prime time boxing series on Nov. 20 at 9:00 p.m. The series will be produced in association with Turner Sports and HBO Sports, featuring two 10-round bouts

The official qualifying process for the 145th open at Royal Troon will begin at the Emirates Australian Open, airing live in primetime on Golf Channel Nov. 25-28. Defending champion and World No. 2 Jordan Spieth; Aussie standouts Adam Scott, Marc Leishman, Steven Bowditch, and John Senden; and Englishman Lee Westwood are among the competitors. Golf Channel's coverage will air in primetime, Wednesday through Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. ET. NBC Sports Group will televise the first three events of The 2016 Open Qualifying Series, beginning with the Australian Open followed by the Thailand Golf Championship (Dec. 10-13) and the Joburg Open (Jan. 14-17)

NHRA officials and Fox Sports have unveiled the 2016 NHRA Melo Yello Drag Racing Series television schedule highlighted by 17 live Sunday finals shows, including four on the Fox broadcast network, and eight primetime Friday night qualifying shows. Fox Sports 1 and Fox will air more than 120 hours of original television programming around the world's fastest motorsport series. New York City is set to host some of the best college basketball teams in the nation as the 2015 2K Classic tips off at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 20 at 5:00 p.m. The two-day tournament sees four teams: Wisconsin vs. Georgetown, on ESPN2, followed by No. 5 Duke vs. VCU right afterward. Sunday, Nov. 22, will feature the championship game at 1:00 p.m live on ESPN.
