Sabine Eckhardt joins ProSiebenSat.1 Executive Board as Chief Commercial Officer

Dr. Christian Wegner to leave the Company as of December 31, 2016

Munich, December 14, 2016. Effective January 1, 2017, Sabine Eckhardt, 44, will be appointed to the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In her current role as Managing Director of SevenOne Media and SevenOne AdFactory, she was mainly responsible for developing the business with innovative, cross-media advertising products as well as the ProSiebenSat.1 marketer's new clients business. In addition, she will now push the exploitation of group-wide synergy potential by connecting ad sales, digital commerce activities, and data management more closely. Within the Digital Ventures & Commerce segment, she will also be assuming responsibility on Board level for the Group's SevenVentures business, which is headed by Sascha van Holt and Florian Pauthner. Thomas Wagner, Chairman of SevenOne Media's management board, will continue to lead the traditional sales business and will additionally take over the role as Group Chief Customer Officer. He will report to Sabine Eckhardt and CEO Thomas Ebeling.

Dr. Christian Wegner and the ProSiebenSat.1 Supervisory Board have agreed not to extend his contract as Executive Board member and to end it as of December 31, 2016. After 12 years within the Group, he will be embarking a new business venture in the digital economy. Following the departure of Christian Wegner, COO Christof Wahl will, in addition to his current duties, assume Board responsibility for the digital verticals Online Price Comparison , Online Dating , and Online Travel in the Digital Ventures & Commerce segment. Thomas Ebeling will be in charge of the Lifestyle Commerce business in that segment. Thus, the Group is highlighting the increasing strategic importance of its digital commerce business. The Group's current internal control and financial reporting structure will remain unchanged.

Sabine Eckhardt has held several management positions at ProSiebenSat.1 since 2004. From 2004 to 2009, she was Managing Director of the Group's licensing and merchandising business. After that, she established SevenOne AdFactory as Managing Director and has been responsible for this business until today. Furthermore, the 44-year-old has been a member of the management board of ProSiebenSat.1 marketer SevenOne Media since 2012. Since February 2016, Eckhardt has been responsible as Chief Commercial Officer for group-wide sales innovations and the exploitation of the Group's synergy potential.

Sabine Eckhardt studied German and Philosophy at LMU in Munich and the University of Pisa. She started her career at Mattel, further stations include Digital Publishing AG and EM.TV. Sabine Eckhardt was born in Bremen in 1972.
