The holidays are a wonderful time of year for a lot of reasons. It's full of food, family, and (hopefully) some time to appreciate both! It's no big surprise that here at WeVideo, we think holiday videos are great way to keep and share the memories of this season. And we're not alone! Last year, Facebook reported generating over 8 billion (that's billion with a B ) video views every day.
But what can you make videos about? With that in mind, here are some of our favorite moments to capture on video during the holidays:
Putting up the lights
From houses to dorm rooms, holiday lights are a fun sign of the season. Create a video featuring all the steps: from untangling to the moment of truth. Just make sure to check your wiring.
Cooking the holiday dinner
In November and December, Americans will eat almost 60 million turkeys! The holidays can be a special occasion to make family favorite meals and share traditions, both perfect subjects for your holiday movies. Show us your secret for preparing the perfect bird.
Enjoying the holiday dinner (with friends and family)
Almost as fun as cooking! Eating together with family and friends provides countless moments to record and save the celebration. Share your holiday movies for those of us that couldn't make it to dinner (but would still love to see everyone).
Unwrapping the gifts
A search for unboxing on YouTube produces about 52 million results (dwarfing even cats with 16 million views). It's an exciting moment that comes with it's own story, from the suspense of a wrapped present to the big reveal.
