The gripping trailer and stunning key art for Demon City have been unveiled, offering a glimpse into the intense live-action adaptation of Masamichi Kawabe's acclaimed comic, "Oni Goroshi." Featuring a mesmerizing performance by Toma Ikuta, the film streams starting February 27.

In Demon City, Toma Ikuta takes on the role of Shuhei Sakata, a legendary hitman on a quest for vengeance after the brutal murder of his wife and daughter by the Kimen-gumi - a shadowy organization of masked criminals. Set in the provincial city of Shinjo, this electrifying revenge tragedy follows Sakata as he navigates a world of crime and retribution. The trailer teases the heart-pounding action and emotional depth of Sakatas journey, while the key art captures him as a vengeful demon wielding an axe, ready to face his foes.

The film features an ensemble cast of Japans finest actors, including Matsuya Onoe, Masahiro Higashide, Masanobu Takashima, and Mio Tanaka, each delivering chilling performances as members of the Kimen-gumi. Directed and written by Seiji Tanaka, known for his award-winning film Melancholic, Demon City combines genre-defying storytelling with raw, visceral action.

About Demon City STORY Just as hitman Shuhei Sakata is about to clean up his act for his family, the mysterious organization Kimen-gumi murders his wife and daughter, pinning the blame on him and sullying his name. Shot in the head, he miraculously survives but falls into a coma. Twelve years later, the Kimen-gumi attacks him again, but his dormant killer instinct awakens, setting him on an epic course of revenge. However, what awaits him is a truth that threatens to completely alter his destiny.
