ITV2 commissions TV OD hosted by Matt Edmondson
Matt Edmondson will find out what viewers really think about the TV shows we're all talking about - scouring tweets, blogs, and forum posts, to bring us the funniest, strangest and angriest opinions about the telly we're all obsessed with from the past seven days.
TV OD, produced by IMG Productions in association with Accidentally on Purpose, will also see the presenter joined by a selection of celebrity guests as they confess their TV viewing guilty pleasures, as well as confronting TV personalities with a range of comments made about them on Twitter, spanning the good, the bad, and the very, very weird, before giving them the chance to respond.
Matt Edmondson said: Im ridiculously excited about making TV OD. Finally, I have a valid excuse to spend every waking hour watching telly whilst simultaneously surfing the internet. All we need to do now is factor in a part of the show where I have a nap and itll be like every day off Ive ever had.
Led by Matt, TV OD will mine the very best of real viewer opinion and comment from today's most popular digital and social media platforms to deliver a funny, honest, fresh and authentic new take on what viewers really think about TV's biggest shows.
TV OD was ordered by Angela Jain, Director of Digital Channels and Acquisitions and commissioned by Katy Thorogood, Commissioning Editor, Factual at ITV. TV OD is commissioned for ITV2.
Alex Gale, Executive Producer, said: TV OD is going to be a funny and really authentic reflection of what everyone is saying about TV each week. With people making so many witty, insightful and creative comments about what theyre watching TV OD has a wealth of material to draw from giving it a really strong voice that reflects what people really think.
TV OD will air this summer on ITV2.
TV OD is made by IMG Productions for ITV2. Executive producer is Alex Gale and Producer is David Howarth.
