Colorado studios designs and builds state of the art customized mobile live TV production trailers in their Englewood, Colorado based 35,000 square foot design and manufacturing facility. Their Flex series of trailers feature complete customization of features with expandable slide out sides in up to 53' length and over 16' in width (with expansions deployed).

A number of years ago, G&D was chosen to provide KVM extension and switching systems for each new trailer design. G&D was chosen for its' rugged, reliable and affordable products that provide 24/7 operational excellence within a challenging mobile environment. In addition, G&D's ultra-low latency, extremely fast switching times and ease of configuration contributed to the decision for adoption of the G&D products within all of the mobile live TV system designs. Space and weight within the trailer design is valued at a premium. Since this mobile environment is limited in space, the G&D Tradeswitch function is utilized in the system design to provide desktop space savings of multi-computer operation via only one keyboard and mouse as well as offering cross display switching technology which allows for fast computer switching by simply moving the mouse pointer from one display to the next without the need for additional keystrokes or menu selection of targets. The G&D computer module units are also fanless and light weight for quiet operation and help in overall weight reduction in the system designs.
