Coal Stove pictures showcases at DISCOP Africa

DISCOP AFRICA , a PAN-African film and television that gather's industry heavy weights within one arena, will taking place between the 4-6 November at the Sandton Convention Centre and our very own Coal Stove Senior Partner Fidel Namisi and Head of Animation and Post Production Clare Louis will be shocasing at the event.

Fidel Namisi who is not only the co-founder of Coal Stove Pictures, the production house that released South Africa's first s'bujwa dance film, Hear Me Move. Namisi, a two time South Africa's Writer's Guild award winner will be hosting a Business Model Canvas workshop, aimed at aiding production company's to formulate ways of creating a Business Model Canvas(BMC).

The workshop is described as being a tool that can be best used for beginners and intermediate producers, that can then enable production companies to allow their concepts to be framed into a visual business model. Namisi, will be runninng the workshop alongside Nisha Naidoo, Jane Thandi Lipman and Michael Lee on the 4 November from 14h00-16h00.

Furthermore, Head of Post Production and Animation Clare Louis will be taking part in the DISCOP AFRICA pitching competition, showcasing Coal Stove Pictures animation production Stick Fighter. The production, has been selected as one of the top four animation finalist in Africa!
