One of the leading characters of Brutus' sons Sphesihle Vazi has revealed that he originally had no faith in himself to pull of the role of Mlungisi Khoza on The Queen.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Sphesihle said that he auditioned for the role of Cebolihle because he did not think he could do what was required of the character.

I first auditioned for Cebo'lihle Khoza, which was my preferred choice. This is because I felt like I hadn't exercised my acting muscle enough for me to take on a role like Mlungisi, he said.

A DREAM COME TRUE' SPHESIHLE VAZI ON THE QUEEN Sphesihle says that being on The Queen was a dream come true for him and he did not know that Ferguson Films had so much faith in him.

Playing Mlungisi Khoza has given me so much confidence as an actor, he said.

The publication added that the actor said he also proved that there's no right or wrong in performance, as long as you stay true to your choices as an actor you'll be fine.

The Umakoti actor has however expressed his gratitude for the opportunity he was given to play a role as big as Mlungisi's.

This is because when we auditioned it was around the same time Collision (Netflix film) was making waves around the world. That's when I knew that I'm closer to living my dreams as well, Siphesihle said.

He said his role on The Queen has helped him grow in the film and television industry.

The actor says with the end of The Queen, he is looking into branching into more theatre shows.

Right now I'm looking at doing theatre and focusing on running my production house, Red Socks Production. And if God allows I'm hoping to bag another life-changing role, he said.
