Munich, May 18, 2026- Rohde & Schwarz has reached a significant milestone in its history, celebrating the production of its 10,000th R&S V/UHF M3SR Radio 4400 in March 2026. This achievement underscores the company's leadership in secure communication solutions and its commitment to Made in Germany quality.

The R&S M3SR Radio 4400 is a versatile software-defined radio used in critical applications, including air force radar stations and naval communications systems. Its robust performance and adaptable architecture make it a trusted solution for demanding environments.

Producing 10,000 R&S M3SR Radio 4400 units is a milestone that underscores Rohde & Schwarz' lead in the communication segment in Germany, says Markus Dolfen, Vice President Secure Communications Rohde & Schwarz. We designed the R&S M3SR Radio 4400 to be a long-term investment for our customers, states Pieter Coates, Product Manager M3SR. Its flexible architecture allows us to continually enhance its capabilities with new software, ensuring it remains a reliable and technologically advanced communication partner for years to come. Updates are scheduled for release later this year.

The R&S M3SR Radio 4400 plays a vital role in air force operations, where the company provides reliable communications links for radar stations and command & control centers; and in naval solutions, serving as a cornerstone of communication reporting centers (CRC) on frigates and other naval vessels.

All R&S M3SR Radio 4400 units are manufactured at Rohde & Schwarz' state-of-the-art factory in Memmingen, Germany. This milestone is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the entire team.
